A note from Eleanor

3 February 2027
Dear future couple,
Twelve years ago Clara and I stood at the back of a wedding that was going wrong and made each other a promise: that nobody who hired us would ever have to fix their own day. We have mostly kept that promise.
A wedding is not a production. It is a table full of people who love you, a few hours of good food and music, and a moment when you realise you are exactly where you want to be. Everything else is detail, and details are our job.
If you are thinking about a wedding, come and see the barn. Bring your mother, your partner or nobody at all. We will put the kettle on.
